Tonga Language Week 2024

18 - 24 August 2024

Mālō e lelei!

We are excited to celebrate Uike Lea Faka-Tonga - Tonga Language Week! The theme for the week is E tu'uloa 'a e Lea faka-Tongá 'o ka lea'aki 'i 'api, siasí (lotú), mo e nofo-'a-kāingá, which means the Tongan Language will be sustainable if used at home, church and in the wider community.

A calendar of on-campus events and resources will be available before the week. In the meantime, familiarise yourself with these common terms:

  • Mālō e lelei - Greetings / Hello
