See more about Creative Technologies

The Creative Technologies programmes provide a rich and rewarding ākonga (student) experience at the Te Auaha campus in the heart of Wellington City. The programmes combine visual arts processes (drawing, printmaking and photography) with creative design technologies (Adobe CC, 3D printing, laser cutting, and virtual reality) to create project content that is unique. All work is centred on project-based learning; the project briefs are focussed on real world scenarios. Ākonga are supported in learning Adobe CC and will create a work ready portfolio at the end of the higher-level programmes.

Our graduates are multi-skilled. They can turn their hands to wide range of design careers including graphic/visual communication, illustration, animation, 3D modelling, web design, set design, and prop making for film. Some have found work with Wētā Workshop, others are game designers working around the world or have started their own businesses in the creative industries.
