Fee Payment and Contractual Obligations

The Offer of Place for International Students is a contractual agreement for the full duration of study listed in the offer. Listed in the offer are the International Student Fee which is made up of Tuition Fee, International Administration Fee, Materials, Account fee, Learner Services Fee, and the Insurance Fee for the default health and travel insurance. The Insurance Fee must be paid unless the use of an alternative insurance provider has been approved in advance.

Full payment of all fees listed in the Offer of Place is required prior to programme commencement. Enrolment will not be complete, and students will not be permitted to attend class until full payment is received.

Making a payment indicates an acceptance of the contract for the period of one academic year (or the length of the programme if less than one year). This contract means there is an obligation to pay the fee for the year (or the length of the shorter programme).

Protection of International Student Fees

As a signatory to the Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2016 (including Amendments 2019) and in adherence to the New Zealand Crown Entities Act, the Education Act, and Council regulations, Whitireia and WelTec have a fee protection policy in place that safeguards all fees paid by international students.

2. Email us a copy of the payment receipt

A receipt will be issued once the payment is received and cleared. This may take up to ten working days

• Whitireia and WelTec only accept telegraphic transfers and do not accept bank drafts.
• Whitireia and WelTec prefer payment in New Zealand Dollars.
• Receipts are only issued once the payment of your fees has been verified. This can take up to 10 working days.
