This is a course that uses a wide range of creative technologies to develop creative skills. Our aim is to give students a taste of career pathways that are available within the art and design discipline. Digital literacy and a willingness to work on computers is essential, as these skills, alongside physical making skills are developed through the course. Students will learn about Adobe CC applications, and they will work individually and collaboratively on projects in areas such as: film making, basics of game design, costume design and prop building, and Toi Māori. Students who gain the most from this course are those who are willing to experiment and work outside their comfort zones to create highly conceptual and imaginative works.
