Programme outline
This programme is designed to provide a solid foundation for learners who have little to no te reo Māori knowledge.
Evening classes for 2023 are full. However, there are still spaces available for daytime classes.
This is a 60 credit programme. Classes are held one night per week from 5pm-7pm, Monday through to Thursday. There are also daytime classes delivered one day a week from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Once enrolments are confirmed, students will be contacted to confirm the class and day that best suits them.

This qualification is offered by Whitireia.
On 1 September 2022, the operations of Whitireia transferred to the Whitireia and WelTec business division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (Te Pūkenga). As part of this, all existing Whitireia programmes transferred to Te Pūkenga.
