Whitireia and WelTec Institute of Technology Council

From 1 January 2027, Whitireia and WelTec Institute of Technology (Whitireia and WelTec) will be governed by a Council which is accountable to the Minister for Tertiary Education.

Its members are appointed from 1 October 2026 in accordance with the Education and Training Act.

2026 Council meetings

Whitireia and WelTec Council will meet at least three times in 2026. Details of meetings will be provided on this page as they are finalised. Members of the public are welcome to attend. If you'd like to attend, please email the Council Secretary for meeting details.
