Career options

Graduates of the Infrastructure and Technical Support strand will have the skills and knowledge to work in roles such as computer technician, help desk and technical support officer, entry-level network administrator or network engineer, and applications support analyst roles.

Graduates of the Software Development strand will have the skills and knowledge to work in entry-level roles in organisations involved in developing or customising web-based/software solutions.

Entry requirements

Under 20

NCEA Level 2 or 3, including Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy, or New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4), equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

Over 20

If you’re 20 years or over, you may qualify for special admission on this programme. Contact us if you don’t meet the entry criteria as provided on the Under 20 information.

International Students

IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0), or equivalent.
