The Master of Information Technology (MIT) requires the successful completion of a minimum of 180 credits from level 8 and level 9 courses.
There are three pathways for completing a Master of Information Technology.
All courses are 15 credits unless stated otherwise. For more details about each course, please refer to the Postgraduate IT Course Descriptions provided on this page.

Study options and delivery
The programme can be completed full-time (18 months) or part-time (up to 5 years) and is delivered through a blended model at our Petone campus, supported by online learning resources. This approach combines on-campus classes and access to specialist facilities with online components that fit around personal and professional commitments.
Entry requirements
Domestic
A bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in information technology or related subject with at least a B grade average at Level 7 or 8, and be deemed to have the acquired skills and knowledge through relevant work or professional experience.
*Domestic fee displayed is for 18-months, or 1.5 years of study (equivalent to 180 credits) but is subject to annual fee increases.
International Students
Minimum IELTS (academic) score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6, or equivalent.
